Hello! I’m Alex Ryckman
I am standing for Senate District 21 because I want to be part of a movement to make Colorado a place for everyone to be welcome, safe, and ambitious.
I’m not a career politician. I am a teacher and a father that cares about my community and I’m tired of settling for the bare minimum for my family, my students, their families, and my neighbors.
My campaign is homegrown and runs on people power. No big money here, just regular working people coming together to share a vision for Colorado.
Fully fund education.
Fight for workers’ rights to bargain and organize.
Fight back against attacks on our community.
Protect lifeline resources like healthcare, affordable housing, and community centers.
Action
Alex is an active member in his community and creates waves to enact change. He is a member of Mapleton Education Association and regularly interacts with politicians to advocate for what his community deserves. He is not afraid to dig in his heels and stand alongside to say what needs to be said. He has the follow through, the vision, and the work ethic to earn your vote and represent Senate District 21.
Education
Alex is a product of Colorado public schools and universities. He is a current public school teacher who works with students, families, and community members. Education is a right for all children that not only helps families but helps grows community. He knows the impact educational institutions have had on the community of Senate District 21 and that our community deserves a fighting chance.
Together
Alex brings people together because he walks alongside them. He has witnessed the changes of living in Colorado over the past few decades. He understands the hurdles and difficulties of the working class and respects the people who he would be representing. Colorado is very different than it was in the past. The hurdles have gotten taller and difficulties have become more drastic.
